Teaching Experience:

  • Professor Assistant of Civil Law II (Obligations) and Civil Law III (Contracts) at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the University of the Republic, Uruguay (1977-1986).
  • Professor of Human Behaviour in the Organization, of Personnel Management and Labour Relations, and of Negotiation, at the Business Studies Institute of Montevideo (IEEM), University of Montevideo.

Current Positions

  • Director of TASK-Management of Human Resources (Macroplus S.A.)
  • Member and Uruguayan Business Coordinator of the Social and Economic Consultative Forum of the MERCOSUR, on behalf of the Chamber of Industries and of the Business Superior Council of Uruguay.
  • Member of the Board of the Uruguayan Textile Industries Association and President of the Wool Combing Group. Legal Adviser of the Chamber of Wood Industry.
  • Member of the Labour and Social Committee of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (GIU), employer delegate at the Superior Tripartite Council, the Tripartite Group of International Norms (ILO), and other national, regional and international tripartite fields.
  • Employer delegate at several Salaries Councils.
  • Member of the Business Technical Advisory Committee on Labour Matters (CEATAL), which depends of the OAS' Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labour.
  • Member of the Permanent Reference Group of the Modernization Programme of Labour Relations in Uruguay (Uruguayan Catholic University / Inter-American Development Bank).
  • External Consultant of the International Labour Organization and of the Inter-American Development Bank. Researcher of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
  • Member of the Uruguayan Association on Labour Law and Social Security, the Center for Labour and Social Security Studies (CIELSS), the Uruguayan Association of Personnel Management (ADPU) and the National Academy of Economy.
